Alpheus, a river god, was in love with Artemis, but when he realized that she would not like him, he decided to capture her. Bouphagos, the son of the Titan Iapetos, saw Artemis and had a thought of raping her. But reading his thoughts Artemis struck him at Mount Pholoe. Sipriotes was a boy who was turned into a girl by the goddess. It was because either because he accidentally saw Artemis bathing or wanted to rape her. |
